The Cambridge FinCat model explores contagion and instability in international banking networks as a result of a hypothetical Eurozone bank run. Capital ratios become compromised with fire sales of mutually-held investment assets and calls on loans.



Notes on browsers
These web pages are coded in HTML5 and make extensive use of SVG thus need the latest browsers. Unfortunately even the latest browsers have issues. See below.

Chrome is the only browser that gives 100% satisfactory performance. We are using version 27.0.1453.110.

Internet Explorer must be version 9 or greater. Due to missing support for the pointer-events CSS attribute IE will not permit use of the + and - zoom buttons on the map. Otherwise it gives satisfactory performance.

Firefox since version 16 and up to and including version 21 has a bug in its SVG renderer which causes it to draw slowly. Hence our network diagrams run very slowly. We look forward to this bug being fixed soon.

Safari does not correctly implement CSS pointer-events meaning you cannot zoom or pan the map.
